Default Staking Question?

I know someone who is a good tournament player but having a hard time right now. I know this could be a profitable situation for me and at the same time it might help him out alittle as well. What im asking is, I was wanting to buy him into certain tournamets, If im playing the full buyin plus the rake (The money wont hurt me, but im sure he could use the stake, at the same time i want to make a good investment for me) Would it be to much to ask for a 60-40 deal, with me getting 60 of any wins?

Default Re: Staking Question?

No its not unreasonable. A broke player should reasonably accept any deal he can get. Most deals are in the 50/50 range but those are often with one particular event where a guy simply isn't rolled for a particular event the backer thinks hes positive EV in.

60-40 for a number of events is fine especially if your doing him a favor.
