Default Charitable donations

There are a few days left in 2006 and if you are making tax-deductable charitable donations, you need to do it now to count against your 2006 income.

With the dollar amts disclosed, here are a few charities I am giving money to, and Im curious where others are donating poker money.

ICFG.org - My mom is the CEO of the International Center for Journalism. Its a non-profit and it focuses on training journalists to cover stories in third-world countries, among other things.

Julius Barnathan Scholarship Fund -- a fund set up in my grandfathers name to provide aid for one graduate student in communications each year.

Savedarfur.org -- Its the worst conflict on the planet.

No oil no resources no international community interest.

The situation in Darfur makes me want to vomit in the faces of western society.

BEAT: My company recently signed a business deal out there, and there's a strong possibility i'll be asked to go out.

I myself will be donating everything i have to the Methusalah Foundation.

i do automatic monthly donation, much easier so you don't have to worry about this to these three:

-CARE canada

http://care.ca/

-crohns and colitis foundation (my sister has ulcerative
colitis and crohns runs in my family)

http://www.ccfc.ca/

-partners in health

http://www.pih.org/home.html

Just check www.charitynavigator.org for the most efficient ones in a cause you are interested in.
