Did you get MONO in college?
I got it at the start of 2nd semester freshman year. I'm not sure if it was from a girl I was with right before winter break (I guess there might be an incubation period) or if it was using a pipe that was shared by 10 people the weekend we got back...
eitherway it was awful, I was on painkillers and I didn't get out of bed for a week...anyone else get it?

Got it last semester freshmen year from some chick I was messing around w/ it. What really sucked about it was it was during finals week. That was a couple years ago but I still remmember the 6 hour plane flight home w/ mono after finals was awful.

Incubation period is 4-6 weeks. It is considerably more infectious than people realize and can come from someone just coughing with the disease. Odds are, you have no idea where you got it from.
Oh, and you can get it twice in rare cases. Lucky me was one of the 6% who do. It sucked both times.

Yeah I got it mid junior year, it sucked. Having mono on a plane while unable to equalize pressure was one of the worst things ever.

Having mono first semester freshman year was great because at my school all classes are pass/fail for first semester freshmen. I slept all day and didn't worry about work at all.

Yes I did, and by the way, it sucks. I got it senior year after I laughed at the like eight people in my dorm who moped around all day the year before. Honestly my college years were the sickest years I've had so far. Thank god I'm out now we'll see if it gets better. So far seven months so good.

I got it sophomore year in the fall. After a few days of feeling [censored], I had my then-girlfriend drive me to the hospital to see what was wrong with me. Spent a few days there rehydrating, went home for a week or so, and was pretty well useless for the next several months. Just physically and emotionally drained all the time. I think I had a pretty bad case though.

Somehow I managed to avoid it last semester even though two of my four roommates had it at the same time.
