Default $5NL: Flopped a set, is this a fold on the flop?

This was about my fourth or fifth hand at the table, so no reads. I didn't reraise the minraise from CO, since at $5NL, this could mean AA as much as anything else.

Stack sizes:
UTG: $7.87
UTG+1: $3.86
CO: $1.33
Button: $4.12
Hero: $5.18
BB: $2.57

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Only a few hands beat you , 66, 77, and 89 ,34, and the highly unlikely 84. AA, KK , etc are all prime meat for you here. Also, with a set, you still have a very good chance to catch a pair on board and win the hand if he does have a straight. I think its 35% or so. If you lose to a higher set, tough, you still played the hand right, as odds of that happening are like 1:50. Shove it in....

Thanks for the replies. I got jumpy due to the bet size, and folded. He then proceeded to show 56. I considered seppuku at that point.

Yeah.. you are either way ahead here, or you are drawing to plenty of outs if villain happened to flop a straight.
