Default Pocket 99. Did I make my move too soon?

PS 180 players and I'm on the button with 99. Blinds are $25-$50,are going to $100. in two minutes and my stack is $1100. My M right now is around 15 but will 7 in 2 minutes. Four players limp and including the blinds the pot is now $275. I go all in for $1100.

Is this too reckless and too early to make such a move or is my M soon to be 7 a good enough justification to do this? I do this almost every time with this M, that stack and that position so I'm wondering if this is a hole in my game or an acceptable play. Thanks

While limping in for set value is also fine, I do not have a problem with your raise at all.

Nothing wrong with increasing your stack by 25% with a push here.

shaun: what about the other 45%? Had my stack been bigger, I either limp or raise normally but given all the limpers and the likelyhood that I would be behind after the flop, I didn't want to dribble my chips away with such a low M.

[/ QUOTE ]He's talking about 45% of his HANDS here, not 45% of the times he has 99.

This shove is fine. I think limping is fine too.

Shoving over a bunch of limpers with meduim strength hands and a stack that is getting low is a move I picked up from one of Shaun's posts and I do it a LOT now. 99 is better than good enough for this.

All, believe it or not Shaun does fold every once in a while. I know- I've been at the table with him at seen it with my own eyes
