5NL Flop two pair slow down or just right

UTG calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.02, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: ($0.10) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.1, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds. Final Pot: $0.20 I've got a strong hand here, however there are three villains in the pot who have checked to me. I want to charge the flush draws (correct?) so I make a pot sized bet. However it seems like a situation where I'm not giving people with a worse hand the chance to make a mistake and call a 1/2 or 3/4 sized bet. Do I give a free card here or make a close to pot sized bet? |

Re: 5NL Flop two pair slow down or just right
pot or close to pot is good. QJ/flush draws both call at this level. There's also a ton of [censored] kings that limped in and will call.
Checking here is really gross always. |

Re: 5NL Flop two pair slow down or just right
I'd probably raise this PF. One limper ahead, good position and a decent hand. As played, the flop bet is completely standard. You can't slowplay with the flush draw out there, lots of gutshots and a likely OESD in QJ.

Yeah, the argument for checking is weak. If nobody has anything they probably have nothing after the turn also, but if they have a draw or king then they will pay you now. After the turn it might be you paying them. So get a PSB in now to overcharge all those good draws out there, sure it is sad to see them all fold when you have a hand but it happens.

Re: 5NL Flop two pair slow down or just right
Great to hear my line was reasonable. I considered checking but with the number of villains and the possible draws I didn't want to give free cards. The only concern that I had was forcing out hands like Kx who limped and would be dominated.
I'm really not sure why I didn't raise this hand, I had been doing a lot of PFRing at this table but something must have stopped me here. |

PSB all the way. People will still make a mistake and call with flush draws enough for it to get annoying but be profitable.
