Smartbuy rebate Chevy
I was thinking about getting a 2007 Impala (flame away). With a Smartbuy, I get almost a $5k incentive, but I have to finance with a higher interest rate. Not to worry, you can refinance with no penalty after one month and keep the rebate. Does anyone know if this is legit? Also, when negotiating, should I try to get invoice, then apply the rebate? this would save me almost 8k off the sticker, but not sure if the salesman/woman will go for it. Thoughts?

Re: Smartbuy rebate Chevy
I would reccomend taking a look at an Accord or Camry if you're buying new.
Both may cost you a little more upfront but take a look what a 5 year old Camry or Accord is worth compared to the Impala. |

Re: Smartbuy rebate Chevy
est. 55% value retention...
not to mention that they drive for 250k+ mi on regular maintenance. You can probably get the 2k7 SE (package imbetween LX and EX) for about 22.5 out the door. |

Re: Smartbuy rebate Chevy
I appreciate the car advice but I dont want to spend that much and I like the Impala better than those. Anyway, my question was about Smartbuy. Does anyone know about this program? Is it true I can buy out of it at no penalty after one month? Does the 5k rebate make it a good deal?
