Default Glorious True Friend of America Dies

Saparmurat Niyazov, president since 1985 of Turkmenistan, died today.

Niyazov was the head of the communist party of Turkmenistan when communism fell and the Soviet Union collapsed. He immediately transformed the regime to a pure dictatorship, led Mob-style by him and his immediate family & close friends. Turkmenistan lives for some 20 years now under a personality cult that is the equal of anything that North Korea or Stalin's USSR had to offer. Niyazov run the country like an old fashioned slave owner. He even shortened the time required for children's education in an effort to dumb down the population and, hopefully, stiffle dissent.

But he was a wily old tyrant and could sense the change in the winds very acutely! He offered Turkmenistan's full assistance to the war against terror and allowed his country to be used in the war against Afghanistan.

When all is said and done, that is all that really matters.

American business interests are number 1, human rights are irrelevant.

The fact that Saddam was public enemy #1 and this guy is unknown is some good proof of the American state controlled media.
