My straight is ignorant
I don't have any player specific reads, so basically I am just curious how any of you would play this and why.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver) Hero ($139.80) Button ($98.50) SB ($127.80) BB ($114.95) UTG ($91.10) UTG+1 ($119) MP1 ($95.75) MP2 ($48.25) Preflop: Hero is CO with 6, 5. UTG raises to $2</font>, 3 folds</font>, Hero calls $2, Button calls $2, SB calls $1.50, BB calls $1. Re: My straight is ignorant
Bet more on the turn (around $35)... as played you're now expecting to see a FH or A9. I'd call the river.

Re: My straight is ignorant
What is the virtue of betting more on the turn? Should I not be afraid of JT here? What would you do if villain cr all-in on the turn, or river?

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think any worst hands call our raise. Well, maybe AcXc, but that's super thin. Edit: Oh, and I play it the same, 'cept I folded PF. |

Re: My straight is ignorant
I agree that a raise seems really thin here
Only trips can pay off, and the only aces we beat that really make any sense as played are AT and maybe A6 or the nut flush draw I guess, but I would expect more aggression from those hands Maybe I should add that Villain took a pretty long time to call the turn bet and bet the river relatively quickly |

Re: My straight is ignorant
i fold pre-flop.
as played, flop is fine, but i'd bet bigger on the turn. Villain could have a flush draw or OESD and we gotta make him pay to draw... his river bet could mean a lot of things, he could have AcXc, he could be trying to bet a possible scary card to try to win with his busted QcJc or Tx hand...of course he could also have a FH or a higher straight. Point is, we can't fold here, i also think raising is extremely thin, so I'd call the river. |

Re: My straight is ignorant
fold pf,
raise more on the flop, a pot size raise would be to $22 (i think). I'd go 18. Bet more on turn, 33 or something Call river. |
