Absolute Poker pushing Click2Pay?
I've got a couple of reload bonus emails from Absolute recently, and they alert the player that you can get a bigger bonus by using Click2Pay.
I believe it's a pretty obvious attempt to "diversify" their player deposit methods. I suppose it would be pretty scary if say, 80% of your player base used Neteller, since there are legit concerns that Neteller is going to comply with banking regulations once they're written. (Don't quote me.... I pulled the 80% figure out of thin air) Anyway...good move by Absolute if this is the goal. Here's hoping Click2Pay doesn't take the FirePay route. Anyone ever used Click2Pay? Pretty decent e-wallet? "At Absolute Poker, we're celebrating Christmas a little early this year. On Thursday December 21st, receive a 40% Redeposit Bonus up to $400 FREE when you use Click2Pay. Or, use any deposit method and receive a 30% Redeposit Bonus up to $300." |

Re: Absolute Poker pushing Click2Pay?
They are attempting to get players to make accounts at a variety of places, so when(if) Neteller leaves, people's responses will be "Oh, well big deal, I have an account at "X" I can use.

Re: Absolute Poker pushing Click2Pay?
It's not only Absolute. Most casino's I have visited lately also give an extra bonus if you use 'click2pay'. They even have a direct link to to their web site.

Good to hear this and good thinking on the poker sites part. Alert folks now that there are other easy deposit methods, coax them to signup for extra chips and greatly reduce the fallout if/when Neteller follows Firepay out the door... |

Re: Absolute Poker pushing Click2Pay?
This is a good sign, you'd have to assume they have an assurance from Click2Pay that they'll be sticking around.

How is Click2Pay compared to Neteller? [/ QUOTE ] My 2c? Slow, but based in Germany, diversified out of gambling, tied to a bank, with atm and Visa options availiable, fairly widely accepted. Not bad, but not as smooth as Neteller. |

Re: Absolute Poker pushing Click2Pay?
I haven't used all of them but Click2Pay is by far the worst of those I have used.
Your money is [probably] safe in their hands; my problem with them is their customer service. The phone people are among the nicest with whom you'll ever speak with, which makes their collective cluelessness just that much sadder. As for email, forget it - 24 hours is the average response time IF you receive a response at all. When I mentioned this to one of theior reps on the phone his reply was, yeah - we ignore them if we're busy. (So help me, those were his exact words). As long as there's ANY other such site in business there's no reason to deal with these people. |
