Yuck. Sucks but theres enough draws he could be raising you on. That 3 is a good card because 73 and T3 are super unlikely, and even T7 isn't that likely with stacks this shallow, even from him. If hes got a set theres little you can do. I think if your ahead and just call his raise he probably won't jam any more chips in unless hes pretty damn sure hes ahead, so i might just move it in here, though if your an unknown player he might think your a bit of a calling station and if hes a T with a draw jam the turn on you.

I could image something like T9s w/ flush draw. I'd reraise to 800 and put the last 500 in on the turn. Or you could just put him all in immediately.

flat call.

i believe harrington calls it the rope-a-dope. you have real strength against a known aggressive player, let him lead right into you. in harrington's example you are check/calling a monter oop. here you have position, but the point is the same. no need to reraise. he could have a flush draw or even be ahead with two pair or a set, but this is a player who is capable of making this play with many hands that you have crushed (from what i've heard anyway). call and hope he leads out on the turn.

That's quite an exaggeration considering the specifics of this particular spot.

You can't be serious about calling everything down

either raise with intentions to push to any turn or shove now

like i said, i've never played with him, only heard that he's laggy. so are you saying you don't think he'd make this play with only a draw or top pair?

I am not in favor of the shove it now action, seems like a scared overbet.

If we are correct in assuming he is on either a set or some sort of combo draw it may be good for us to flat call and push any non-heart (or possibly ace) turn. He may (correctly) call our flop push with a hand like Ah Th if he puts us on our hand. Even against the Th 9h we are flipping coins. If we close the flop action now and the turn doesn't hit him it is a lot easier to push him off a drawing hand as he has much less equity.

We have the advantage of position and I don't think we should negate that by pushing. If it's a set we are probably going to get stacked regardless, but if it's a combo draw we may be able to prevent him from seeing a river heart by pushing the turn instead of the flop.
