Default Using Lie Detector Tests To Test For Cheating

For really big tournaments they should have four lie dectector machines set up to test incoming or eliminated players for cheating.

Have the test take five minutes and have it consist of about 8 questions.

No penalty. It would just give them evidence to review tapes.

It's a private business. If people want to play poker they would have quick exam. It's in the best interest of everyone. All questions would relate to cheating and would not be revealed to anyone unless a subsequent investigation proved that the person(s) did in fact cheat.

I would be more than happy to take such a test if it were quick and painless. I hate cheaters and scumbags. I think this should be in all casinos even for cash games.

What about false positives/false negatives? The fact they can be manipulated to some extent? The fact that scientific studies have put them barely above the level of chance?

Bad idea.

Actually they need to have intelligence detector tests for new accounts on 2+2. Otherwise someone might make threads like:

Many banks and police departments use them. It would only be used to detect large cheating rings or consistant cheaters. It would just the casino a basis to watch certain people to detect them.

It would also act as a big deterent to people.
