Default What to get girlfriends parents for a christmas gift

I'm 22 and have known my girlfriends parents for awhile and they have always been very nice to me and have gotten me something for christmas the last couple of years. I haven't gotten them something before and I would like to do something this year for them but I have no idea what to get. They are in their early 50's, are somewhat artsy and live in Austin. I want to get them something around $50 but I have no ideas at all. Any ideas?

I always just gave my girlfriend the money, sent her shopping, and put my name on the results.

I kind of like this idea, but I'm clueless about wine. I know they drink nice wines some times, but I don't know what kind. Is there a "safe" type of wine that most people like and is there a "dangerous" wine that i should maybe stay away from?

Champagne is always safe.

What do they drink? Ask your g/f, find this out and its pretty easy.

She's clueless about that stuff. She knows there are two types of wine white and red.

Tickets to some kind of night out. A ballet, opera, play, concert. Will prob be more expensive but maybe share with your girlfriend.

Or a baby.

Her 20 year old brother (and his 19 year old gf) already gave them that. I think giving the sex toys would go over a lot better at this point in time.

Just go into a decent liquor store and ask whomever is behind the counter. Tell them your situation and they will help you out with picking out wine. If they don't know, try another store. Your best luck would be a store that specializes in wines. Look for a store that has more wine than beer or spirits.
