I call, but I don't like it. The most likely hands that beat us (given villain's stats) are 22 and A3, but I wouldn't fold unless certain they one of these. KK would have raised pf. More experienced players tell me how wrong I am! |

Re: Nl 10: Trips in 5 handed Pot
I depends on the player that pushes, if you have played 170 hamds with him you should have a good feel about how he plays. If he is fishy, overbets or tight.

Re: Nl 10: Trips in 5 handed Pot
I put him on 22 or Trips there. He dont play draws this way.
I think he has something. With a weaker kicker this were an easy fold for me. But how good is my jack there ? |

Re: Nl 10: Trips in 5 handed Pot
with 22 he would bet on flop (cuz of flush threat), with 2 pair or high pair he would bet for same reason.
he has trips for sure, but dont know what kicker... I think, better just call on turn |

Re: Nl 10: Trips in 5 handed Pot
I'm looking at this and thinking what hands do people with these stats just call the small blind with. Ok, from big pairs you would probably have seen a raise as he's not afraid of doing that preflop. So I'm thinking his range is probably broadway cards without an A, suited connectors, smaller pocket pairs (22-88), and Axs or maybe Kxs. His non-action on the flop would seem to indicate that the flop did not hit him in a meaningful way or he was going for a check-raise and whiffed(not likley). I would almost guess he has A3 suited because your raise is clearly telling him that you have trips and his push tells you he doesn't care. If you have a read that this guy is FOS here then call otherwise fold. His stats indicate he's not loose and not overly aggressive post flop, I probably fold this but hate it for the rest of the day.

Re: Nl 10: Trips in 5 handed Pot
Yeah, I fold this but it is close. The legit hands that make sense are in order of likelihood A3s, 22, 43s. Of these, his play makes by far the most sense with A3, his stats indicate pretty sensible play and this push would be somewhat foolish with 43s. 22 probably leads the flop as noted by others. Anyway, unless he is more foolish than you indicate and/or pretty likely to be bluffing, this is -ev to call imo.

either A3s or he's FOS. Probably a3s tho.
