6-handed vs. ring

This might sound like a moronic question but indeed, I'm a moron. I'm a laggy sort of player and I have trouble beating ring games because there is always one nit who hit a great hand. Generally speaking is the 6 handed game a more positive expectation game to play against laggy style?

It seems like it would be, as long as one stays aggressive enough to beat the blinds. But if I can only break even against ring games does that mean I shall lose in 6 handed games? Sorry, I'm trying to get more serious but am not having much luck right now.
