How to approach continuation betting for a limit convert...
Well after losing over 400BBs at 15/30 in the past 6 weeks, I've begun to play a little bit of NL for the first time. I have been playing 6 max 100NL on Stars, and my biggest difficulty has been determining when to cbet and when not to.
I have played about 15k hands so far and I am 19/15 so far and I am cbetting about 90% of the time. Although 15k hands is meaningless, my winrate is about 3ptbb/100, which I am obviously not going to be satisfied with for long. I have watched videos on CR and elsewhere, and I notice that aggressive players in NL certainly cbet a lot less than those in limit, but I really can't see any reasoning behind their decision. From what I can tell, it's too transparent to not cbet, which is why I basically do it at every opportunity. Does anyone have some advice for a player just starting out in NL? |

Re: How to approach continuation betting for a limit convert...
look at AJmargarines micro quiz
Edit: Here's the linky for the quiz! consider # of opponents, drawiness of board, and how scary your bet looks to someone how hasn't hit the flop strong also check made hands sometimes, then your transparency argument goes out the window |

I should add that I pretty much always cbet when heads up, and I know that even this is too much.
