Default 5/10 PS - fold nut no pair vs possible bluffer?

Villian is relatively new to the table, but I already have him pegged as aggro. He openraises light, and has tried to semibluff/bluff a flush draw unimproved on all post flop streets vs me.

On the turn, I don't believe he has trips (correct?), but on the river the only thing I now beat is a pure bluff. Do I fold, even against this player?

I make this call on the river as well just because of the limited info you have on him. This type of guy you would expect to check-raise the flop with a FD and I agree, trips is pretty much ruled out.

Well, that turn card is like a "standard" donkbet-bluff card.

I think you can call down, but he probably has 9d8d or something.

Hmmm, I may have blown this one. I was going to call any non-club river, but when the flush draw got there I couldn't put him on a hand that I beat which calls the flop, then fires at the turn and river. I folded here.

Given that the consensus is that, as played, I should call even a club river, anyone see merit in a "free" showdown raise on the turn?

removing the words free showdown raise from your vocabulary is worth a lot of money to a poker player
