If a laggy player sees you fold to a check raise on the river with what he should guess to be a reasonable hand, he'll do it with all sorts of hands in the future. 2. He might check raise the river with Ax figuring you've got some high pair like QQ.

if I'm really losing 90% of the time, I don't think I can justify calling on metagame reasons alone.
I think there is a case for folding the turn... but this is a pretty bluff friendly board

Few players can lay down a hand like that to a river C/R and few players can make a C/R bluff on the river. I see a lot of fish make hopeless bluff-raises into huge pots. If people see you folding in these situations, they're going to take shots at you with their busted draws. This coupled with the money already out there, would make me call a river C/R (and expect to lose)
