Default Typical situation flopping 3rd or 2nd pair from blind in limped pot

I think i'm kind of lost in these spots and don't know if I should bet out, check-fold or check-call.

Two examples:

OK button(unlikely he is trapping) open limps, SB limps and you check 42o on BB. Flop is T72r SB checks, what is your action?

Two limps(both OK) to you and you complete SB with Qc6c BB checks. Flop is TsQsKh whats is your action?

This is likely a small thing, but something I would love to learn to play correctly.

First one I bet.

Second one I would usually check fold depending on action.

bet the first one, you only have one player to get past...2nd one, that board hits a lot of hands so check to see where ur at.

i'd check/fold both to river... pretty pointless betting any of these hands, your FE is 0 if they have any part of the flop and you are building a pot only when you are behind...

how big of a pot do you want to play on the river with bototm pair to bet it here???

i'd check/fold in both spots... am i too weak tight?
