Default Why 6 Max?

Almost all 2+2 regulars are now playing 6 max. This being the case, are they still the fishiest tables to be playing at? If so why? It takes a lot more patience playing full ring, and if you play enough tables you won't get bored.I'm sure players good at multitabling could play a few more tables FR than 6 max. Thoughts?

Your opponents play more hands therefore they have more chances to make mistakes and their mistakes = PROFIT!

Your average 2+2er thinks that s/he can outplay the "fish" and thinks that 6max provides more opportunities to outplay an opponent. Some of these players vastly overestimate their edge, which is probably why we have a separate BBV forum now.

Other 2+2ers can't beat loose games because they can't adjust and decide that they want to play 6max because that just means they won't ever have to deal with 7 people seeing the flop and they will experience fewer suckouts and be more able to protect their hands.

Some 2+2ers are just plain action junkies.

"It takes a lot more patience playing full ring"

You answered your own question. Most bad players have no such patience, therefore they head straight to 6max for the increased action, this makes an average 6max game more profitable as the others have posted.

So what's the best way to learn to play 6max online? I play shorthanded very well live, but rely largely on reads and coffeehousing. I find it a lot harder to get a solid read on an opponent playing short online, especially limit. Any advice?
