NL50 reraise the shortstack with AKs?
This was a decision I wasn't sure on yesterday - from memory
5-handed UTG (~$12.50) raises to 1.50 - no real reads on him. folded to me on button with AKs. Me and the blinds all have full stacks. Do you reraise or call. if you reraise, do you push any turn (edit meant push any flop) checked to you, assuming heads up? |

Re: NL50 reraise the shortstack with AKs?
I probably reraise. He has a lot here that you beat, from AQ to KJ and a lot in between. And don't get too excited about the turn yet, that depends entirely on the flop.

you should probably be raising aks here almost all the time, and especially against a shortie

Re: NL50 reraise the shortstack with AKs?
I'd reraise. But I'm not sure, how much. If I raise him all-in, he only calls with premium hands against which I'm in a coinflip or worse, probably. But if I raise him to like $5 he'd push these hands anyway and I would be forced to call or he'd push on the flop giving me great odds with to cards to come although I haven't hit yet. So I tend to reraise him all-in immediately. What do you think?

[ QUOTE ]
So I tend to reraise him all-in immediately. [/ QUOTE ] If i were in the BB this would be instant, but i don't like raising to 12.5 with 2 people yet to act. |
