25nl 6max - How\'s the call on river?
No doubt I played the turn poorly. I think I was a little scared of a potential set because he called my flop cbet, so I just figured I'd keep the pot small without a better idea where I was at.
Once I've made the mistake though and he makes the river bet, how's my line to call against most of his possible holdings? Or should I raise/fold? Why not reraise the river? You showed slight weakness on the turn. I feel he overbet to take it down. You have an overpair so theres not much to be afraid of unless he made 2 pair or a set.

Re: 25nl 6max - How\'s the call on river?
Yeah, I think you need to bet the turn because there are a bunch of draws out there (though given the BB's cold call preflop, I think he's unlikely to be drawing unless he's real fishy). Then you can feel free to check behind on the river, since weird draws got there and I think BB could have KK/AA.
I call the river bet. You've shown weakness and can't presume BB has you beat. But if you raise, I don't think you'll get called by many hands you beat--barring a read that BB is a fishy calling station. |

Re: 25nl 6max - How\'s the call on river?
Raising is insane. Every draw just came in.
A bet is better on the turn, as zillions of cards are scary, and it's a bit early to be putting him on a set, but I don't have a problem with the check as long as when you check, you plan on calling most every river bet (barring maybe an ace and a push or something) |

Bet the turn because of the coordinated nature of the board -- not in spite of it. Your philosophy is backwards.
As played, the river is a marginal fold. |

I'd jam the turn. Try and ed it right there.
As played, I don't see how I call the river. I gave him a free card on the turn that hit all the draws. |
