Bowl Games help please
I'm in a Bowl Game pool where you have to rank your picks based on how sure you are that the team you pick will win the game WITHOUT the point spread. What would be your top 5 "best bets" in the Bowl games starting with the Fla. St vs UCLA game through the Championship game?

I particularly like LSU. Notre Dame is the least deserving team in any of the BCS bowls IMO.

LSU
Oklahoma Louisville West Virginia Rutgers I left Texas off the top 5 due to QB and motivation for this game questions. As for Ohio St., I like them but Florida COULD win. |

LSU
Cincinnatti West Virginia Rutgers Boston College Louisville, Texas, and Clemson are all big favorites that I wouldn't be that comfortable taking the ML on due to motivational issues. |

Re: Bowl Games help please
Pools like these aren't rocket science, for the most part you just pick the larger favorites since lines are pretty efficient at this point, although I will say that I don't like Ohio St. at all. I think Florida has a very good chance of winning this game.
There's a bit of an advantage to being contrarian in pools like these and I'd be inclined to rank Rutgers a little higher than the -7.5 spread would normally indicate, as I think that line's a bit too low. |
