Default i slowplay bottom two pair and disaster ensues...

FT 50NL we both have 50-55$ ish stacks

I limp in MP with 67s, button limps, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: 6Q7r

SB checks BB bets $1 into $2 pot, I brilliantly decided to slowplay and just call. Button and SB fold.

That was prob the big mistake of the hand. Let me know if you feel otherwise.

Turn: 8

BB bets 2.50 into a $4 pot and I raise to $11. BB thinks and calls.

River: some blank

BB checks and I bet $20 into a $26 pot. BB check rasies AI and I call like the donkey I am for like $18 more.

OK so which is worse my flop slowplay or my river bet.

I'm used to value betting in limit and it clearly wasn't the right move here.

river bet is good, just dont slowplay bottom two at almost any limit without a read that villian will bluff his whole stack later

just about everyone here suggests raising preflop.

flop is terrilbe. raise flop.

turn: not a good card for ya. i'd probably call because it'll be hard to lay down if he pushes over the top of u.

river: DEFINITLY value bet here. your bet might be high but whatever. nice bet on the river. although you're less likely to get payed off given that u raised turn.

AIM response from a friend who wis big in the 2k games:

not a good idea to slow play bottom two
bottom two is horrible in NL
if u dont know u dont know where u are at
if u just smooth call there
i might as well just call the turn
and if he checks the river
u can value bet
that woudl be the line i take if the flop comes AQJ or something
if i was holding QJ
i would call, call, and value bet if i get checked to
def not a all in pot
or even a big pot

bottom two is basically worse than AA (except against draws) and much more vulnerable. please never slowplay it.
