I hope you're not asking this on the assumption that 95% of the people here are Americans who know little to nothing about the NHL. Even if this isn't the case, and you are not employed by the NHL or haven't played in the NHL then I probably am just as qualified to answer questions as you are.

Please help me understand what the big rule changes were last year with respect to the goalie and how this changes the game to make it more exciting. Also, is it easy to predict these NHL games so that we can make some $$ betting?

I am a former scout for Western Hockey League, which is basically a development league for future NHLer's. I watch a NHL hockey game at least 4 times a week, and attend Western Hockey League games weekly. I have scouted at one time or another at least 10 current NHL players
