HU NL Tournament Question on Baby Bets
I hope this doesn't violate the "don't ask broad questions" rule. I'm sure someone will let me know if it does though.
In both heads-up tourneys and when I get down to the final 2 in a SNG with deep stacks I keep running into players who seem loose and like to continuously make baby bets. Mostly these players will double the BB before the flop and continue making minimum bets throughout the remainder of the hand. What is the best approach to counter a player that is loose and seems to want to play limit holdem in a NL tourney. It frustrates me to play against such a player and I've been getting served, frankly. I've tried pot sized reraises from the BB with medium hands, but most of the players are loose and will usualy call. Any advice is appreciated. |

Re: HU NL Tournament Question on Baby Bets
Aren't these exactly the type of player you should salivate to play? Calling stations, when you have hands, make em pay. Don't try to bluff if you knwo they'll just call.

Re: HU NL Tournament Question on Baby Bets
fold when you have no pair and no draw
call the minbets down when you have a marginal hand and don't semi bluff.. just see a couple cheap showdowns with ok hands and you'll probably get an idea of what you can call with raise him when you have a good hand sounds easy doesn't it? |
