Florida Poker
I will be in FL next week. Do the casinos still have that $2 limit on all games?

Not on casino cruises. On land, poker is a joke.

Re: Florida Poker
Yes. And it ain't gettin' any better. Was at Silks at Tampa Bay Downs last week and play about 10 hands in two hours and walked out +$25. Played premium hands only and waited for mullets to squirm. Could have done better but wife called me for dinner (I live within 5 mins drive). It's not much, but it's all we got on land. The boats have a some games but I haven't been on them in awhile. Anyhow, Good Luck to you!

Re: Florida Poker
As far as B&M cardrooms go, Florida is probably one of the worst places to play poker. Unless you are an old lady looking to kill some time at 1-2 no fold em hold em tables, I wouldn't even bother with the cash games. You could play SNGs but you'll find that the structure is terrible. If you want to see a true donkfest, play a SNG in Florida.

I was there yesterday and they still have them going on. Rounds are 15 minutes and, since players and dealers are slow, you are not going to see that many hands per round. As far as I know, another casino in South Florida has SNGs going on but I doubt that they are worth playing. |

Not on casino cruises. On land, poker is a jopke. [/ QUOTE ] FYP. My understanding is, the only place you can make a living playing poker in Florida is on the Internet and, perhaps, playing the Seminole Hard Rock SNGs and big tourneys, where the fishy play make up for the usurious rake. However, if you're looking for a vacation, and fun, cheap poker-like gambling, where people play EVERYTHING, call down with nothing and suck out on the river fully 50% of the time, play here. |
