Once you know you have a fouled hand...
To spin off a recent Cardplayer article, let's say you're playing Omaha/8, and after betting preflop and flop, you realize on the turn that you have a fouled hand - 2 identical cards.
In the article, the author discusses how he should NOT be allowed to get his money back after calling attention to the fouled hand before it plays out. However, what do both rules and etiquette dictate about continuing to bet the hand after you notice the foul? It would not seem unfair to other players, as you are basically on a pure bluff since you cannot possibly win at showdown. If you do win the pot, you would of course need to point out the fouled hand afterwards to correct the problem with the deck - would this void your win, and if so how would the money be dispersed? |

Everyone else gets their money back. You do not get your money back.
