Default How bad did I play AK?

The villain seemed like a solid player, but not ultra-tight.

Reraise preflop. Lead the flop. Don't grow a big pot with a check/raise while you are only holding TP on a very draw-heavy board. His reraise actually means big trouble. You have to decide if you want to play your TP for your whole stack on this board and I certainly wouldn't. The best you can hope for is a split with another non-diamond AK. I don't think, KK, QQ would be reraised that big on a flop like this by a solid player.

Thanks guys, I agree with everything you said. A preflop reraise might have making fold his pair of 9s. How big should this reraise be?

I would raise it to 3x his initial bet, so 3x$1 = $3

reraise pf. And no, it's not so he folds his 9s (which he probably won't do anyway).

Lead flop. Check raising here is bad. Then I c/r turn AI.

reraise pf, if he shoves you can fold because he probalby has AA or KK
lead the flop. If he raises id probably call. He probably has the same kind of hand as you. If he has AA, 88 or 99 say goodbye to your stack.
c/shove the turn.

Reraise preflop.

Lead the flop.

Fold to a raise.

I've made it my life's ambition to stop going AI with TPTK. I've called off more stacks that way.
