Default Nice Fold?

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: is with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, BEACH 3-bets, 2 folds, 892king calls, BB calls, UTG caps, calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (16 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
892king bets, BB raises, UTG folds, BEACH 3-bets, 892king calls, BB caps, calls, 892king calls.

Turn: (13 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
892king checks, BB bets, BEACH calls, 892king calls.

River: (16 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
892king checks, BB bets, BEACH raises, 892king folds, BB calls.

Final Pot: 20 BB

Results in white below:
BB has 7d Ad (one pair, sevens).
BEACH has 8s 8d (one pair, eights).
Outcome: wins 20 BB.

I was SB and since the pot is so large, I made my mind to make a crying call. But BEACH reraised on the river when J came out and since there are a lot of preflop action in this pot, I thought I'd better fold.
But I wonder I made a correct decision.

I would have folded PF. And then again on the flop. And on the turn. And on the river too.

What is Beach supposed to mean? If it's a maniac, then that changes things.

You really need reads here.

BB was shortstack who keeps betting hoping to double up and BEACH was a kinda maniac.

Playing against maniacs can be fun, but it can be frustrating too, because this is the kind of thing that can happen in pots that aren't heads-up.

Anyway, you're in a crappy spot on the river, and it's just a question of whether you should stubbornly pay at least two and possibly four bets to show down or you should fold to two bets and possibly get shown two worse hands in a big pot.
