TT against a re-raise

I am UTG with TT, villain is UTG+1. been at the table for about 50 hands, villain is unknown but hasn't been doing anything crazy.

I raise, villain 3-bets, others fold, i call.

flop comes K and rags. your strategy from here?

That would be pretty opponent-dependent. Against someone tight folding could be good, otherwise my default is calling down - depending on cards and action.

opponent is unknown except that for the last 50 he seemed pretty typical (no maniacal tendencies)

Always cap in this situation, the hand becomes so much easier to play postflop. Otherwise you have no idea where you stand

I probably call down. If there were an ace on the flop, I'd probably fold instead. A king is my second least-favorite overcard, though, and I don't think you're giving up too much with a flop check-fold.

Capping preflop is an option but I don't think it's obligatory or anything. Capping preflop doesn't make the hand suddenly become magically simple unless you know your opponent plays predictably in the face of a preflop cap (and you don't know that). Capping does probably make the hand a little easier to play postflop, but that doesn't automatically make it the best choice. (As a silly example, folding to the 3-bet would make postflop simplest of all, but of course folding preflop would be absurd.) You are probably a slight dog to Villain's range, and you can't do anything about being out of position either.

How exactly does the PF cap help you here?

Are you going to fold to the flop raise? C/R the flop?

I'm curious about your line here.

Generally the question in this kind of hand is, "Do I calldown or fold the flop?" There are a bunch of factors pointing toward the latter in this hand:
1) He's UTG+1
2) He's raising a UTG raiser
3) You have TT, rather than, say, QQ

Villain's range here is narrow and bad for us. I fold.

This is different than, say, KK with an A flops, because we can expect to beat 99-QQ, and sometimes KQ, at showdown. Here, though, even if the K is a scare card for him, we're still way behind: AA-JJ are all still ahead, in addition to AK, and AQ/KQ/AJ still have 6ish outs vs. us.
