Easy (??) preflop situation AKo
MP and me have a lot of history together, I've 3-bet him a few times before. At one point he 4-bet me and I pushed with 99, he called with QTs and rivered a flush (whey). He's a solid player and doesn't get to much out of line postflop, but he's playing a bit on the laggy side preflop.
BTN is a bit on the nitty side and doesn't get out of line at all. He's the basic 2+2 template player, he's a thinking player though and capable of making a move occasionally. Oh yeah both are 2+2, BTN is probably a poster and MP is mostly a lurker. (meh had a little conversation with both, I expect BTN to berate me for that ) I get dealt AKo MP raises to 8$ I reraise to 25$ BTN moves all in. Effective stacks 200$, so its 175$ for me to call. |

I fold. I think you see QQ+ here pretty much exclusively.

Re: Easy (??) preflop situation AKo
hmmm...I guess I need to learn how to fold AKo preflop. I figured that btn range is bigger than usual because of all the fighting between MP and me. I figured I'd occasionally see AQ here, and mostly JJ+/AK.
Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 616,429,440 games 0.719 secs 857,342,753 games/sec Board: Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 42.8192 % 28.08% 14.74% { AKo } Hand 2: 57.1808 % 42.44% 14.74% { JJ+, AQs+, AKo } Making it a marginal call against this range. If he also occasionally has AQo its marginally +ev. If you factor in image purposes I can find a call here... Anybody agree's with my reasoning or am I alone?
