i will attempt to answer your "question"
Obviously AP has a better bonus deal, with 0 MGR deductions on your rake and constant bonuses and such. There is NO way absolute will take that away from their players and adopt an ultimate bet system. On the other hand, i'm not so sure that ultimate bet will adopt absolutes system either. If i understand correctly, everything will LOOK exactly the same. Absolute players will log on to their client and play like they always have. UB players will log into their client and play like they always have. Only difference is that they'll be on the same network, kinda like skins for each other. So pretty much just imagine the absolute network (medium/small size) plus UB network (medium +) which will equal probably about the same size as Full Tilt (large). I'm a long time Absolute player and i'm licking my chops waiting for this deal to go down. Can't wait. |

I think they will remain on seperate platforms, not merging tables.

just link me to a thread if this has been discussed already, but for someone who has never player at either ABS or UB, what would be the best thing to do now? Go ahead and set up accounts at both before the merge or wait until after?

UB sucks, and if AP turns into a UB, I might hang myself. |

At this time, all that is known, is that they appear to be under the same "ownership" umbrella.
Eevrything else, aside from the RB% convergence, is mere speculation... They are likely in a state of evaluating the alternatives. |

so, get in on both now and esp ABS so I can be grandfathered into the current MGR structure in the event it changes after the merge?

I don't play on either, but doesn't UB have 9-handed tables? How would they merge in the 10-handed tables from AP?
I'm surprised there hasn't been much more merger activity within the poker site networks. There seems to be too many smaller sites with hardly any games going. |
