Default Im going to kill someone

Villian was incredibly maniacal, generally raising the blind to 7x BB in position and sometimes OOP. We had been playing back at each other a fair bit and are fairly deep. That said:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($37.30)
UTG ($23.40)
MP ($26.10)
CO ($58.10)
Button ($21.20)
Hero ($64.25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, CO raises to $1.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.65, 1 fold, UTG folds.

Flop: ($4) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $2.25, CO raises to $56.35, Hero calls $54.10.

Turn: ($116.70) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: ($116.70) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $116.70

The only reason i didn't reraise preflop is to disguise my hand. He had been playing super aggressive and I knew I could get him to bet into me with a mediocre hand, but I agree, I should have rr'ed preflop

Oh yeah, you lose to AK or KQ all day long here.

However, how many hands have you NOT posted here when you get the same action with an aggressive villain and a K does not fall on the river?

FWIW, I wouldn't have raised PF here against an uber-bettor. I would become a station faster than a conductor can yell "All Aboard".

RERAISE PF FFS. This is the way you get your aces cracked. I can't say a thing about flop because I wasn't sitting at your table.

but if you don't reraise pf, you risk not isolating the fish.

Seems like you'd want to be HU vs. the maniac, so I'd reraise preflop. If you've been playing back at each other, you shouldn't need to worry about disguising your hand by calling the raise.

On the flop, if you were going for deception, why not check/raise him? Here's where my limit background may be having me play with poor lines, but against a maniac, even OOP, I'd want to let him hang himself at least a little, so I'd check the flop. Since you could expect him to give you action, I'd think checkraising the flop big and leading the turn would be the way to go. Possibly check/calling the flop and bet/3-betting the turn, too?
