AK in BB - Always Cap???

Garden City 20/40. The table is generally passive with about 50% of flops seen by 4 to 5 players for 1 bet. I have not seen any preflop raising wars, but there has been some raising from the lags on weak hands.

MP and MP+1 both seem decent/solid/good and I have not yet seen either of them get too out of line pre or post flop. SB is basic laggy donator.

MP opens
MP+1 3-bets
SB calls
I'm in the BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and think about capping, but just call.
MP calls.
Flop is J82 rainbow. - 4 players, 12 small bets
SB Check, I Check, MP bets, MP+1 Call, SB Call, I Call. - 16 small bets
Turn is 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], making diamond flush draw.
SB Check, I Check, MP bets, MP+1 Call, SB Call, Me???
Should I have capped preflop? My thinking was MP and MP+1 aren't raising & 3-betting with junk and I'm probably up against 2 premium hands and out of position.

So why call the flop? And following that thinking, why call PF?

This was Saturday night 8:30 to 9:00 PM. They had 4 tables going. Were you there?

i actually was there saturday night at that time. guess i was at a different table or just didn't remember this hand

I should have known someone would ask. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] From my brief history with the original raiser, his range is 99+, A10s+. For the re-raiser, I would guess 1010+, AQ+, though he may only do this with JJ+, AK as I have not seen him showdown many hands. The SB is loose and could have a medium pair or any suited Q or J.

There was a guy from India I sat next to at the first table in the chain (17) and the 3rd table in the chain (9,) was that you? I don't think you were at the table for this one if that was you. From your name, it is a guess that you may be from India. My apologies if this is not the case, not intending to offend, just trying to describe.

This is a good post,& I will be interested in seeing what some of the better players have to say about it.

I would have capped pre-flop & led on the flop,but I like your ideas about it.

im actually fine with any of the options (the tighter the raisers the more i think folding is best)...one problem is that a lot of your outs may be taken preventing you from improving and causing your bad position to cost you pots...
