Deep in $50 PS turny, final table, hand desicion
At this point in the turny it is 4 handed. Pay structure is as follows......
1st:8775.00 2nd:5019.30 3rd:3229.20 4th:2421.00 My question to all of you is regarding the following hand. Seat 2: MVP OF LIFE (541996 in chips) Seat 5: Raven27 (79994 in chips) Seat 7: bobbybagpipe (213111 in chips) Seat 8: MasterE569 (217899 in chips) Dealt to MasterE569 [A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]] MVP OF LIFE: raises 32000 to 48000 Raven27: folds bobbybagpipe: folds Obviously a fold is not in line here, but whats your take. Reraise, call, or push. I ask this because of the super small stack at the table. Is there more value in waiting for him to be eliminated which seems inevitable at this point and playing it safe with a call. Or taking the other mentioned routes where there is more risk involved. Thoughts? Any questions about this situation i can answer as well if you need more info. |

Re: Deep in $50 PS turny, final table, hand desicion
easy shove
the short stack is not THAT short, and youll be asking him if he wants to risk nearhalf his chips on a marginal hand (which is perfectly reasonable, hes got a big chip lead). youre happy to take the pot pre. you dont want to call and whiff and bleed 48k away that easily. you also don twant to make a small reraise and be pot commited against him, get all the fold equity you can get. |

Re: Deep in $50 PS turny, final table, hand desicion
Marginal increases in pay:
4th-3rd: $808 3rd-2nd: $1790 2nd-1st: $3754 I am pushing this. You are WAY ahead of villains range 4 handed and you should get a fold from him fairly often. You still need to be accumulating at this point. While it would be nice to get a 20% chiplead over bobby when you take this down preflop that should not be your goal... you gotta be going for the win here, the pot is too valuble to sit and wait. (also: if you call and don't flop an A or Q and lose the pot and Raven doubles up in a hand that he isn't the blind then all of a sudden you are last place in chips and you didn't even give yourself a chance to pull ahead.) |

How small a stack or what M would raven need in anyones opinion to contemplate anything but a shove here?

Re: Deep in $50 PS turny, final table, hand desicion
I presume the bb is 16k so with ante initial pot is abt 25K ish,he has 80K gives him an M of 3.2 & an effective M of 1.7
so he should be shoving virtually any 2. |
