Default recommend a car audio sub/box combo for under $100 that doesn\'t suck

Just got an older car, and am not digging the built in tape deck Friend is hooking me up with a deck and amp, but I want a sub $100 dollar sub to go with it.

Any suggestions? (besides spend more money, the car is old as hell and theres no point putting a bunch of money in a crappy, although running, car.)

edit: This one looks alright, does anyone with audio experience think it would work ok?

Dude, you honestly aren't going to get anything that sounds anything decent for that amount, so, just get a crappy bazooka tube thing.

I'd invest in a non-crappy factory stereo and speakers before worrying about a sub box.

Ok, this is a little more than you wanted to spend, but Image Dynamics makes some excellent subwoofers for the money.

An IDQ 12 last I checked was around $120. You could build the box yourself for probably $20-30.

What kind of amp is it? How much power do you have available?

build your own box? That sounds extremely janky. As for the sub i have no idea, but he says it's decent.

well, no $100 is really goign to make it sound better, and just adding subwoofer WILL make it rattly no matter what kind it is.

Dude get some non crappy speakers first. Otherwise this whole thing is pointless. Run the amp to some decent speakers. You can worry about the sub later but your whole audio is going to sound like crap the way you are going about this.
