Default 200nl - Bluffing a dry sidepot to iso a donk

Short stack is a donkey, full stack had ok stats like 20/12 or whatever. My goal is to push the big stack off a better jack on the turn to get HU with shorty who has god knows what, knowing that I have lots of outs against anything but the nuts. Also, do you guys bet $20 on the flop so that you can reraise if shorty pushes? I didn't think about it at the time but it might be good. I usually try to bet pretty big with big draws so that more money is in if they fold to a 3bet push.

Edit: I couldn't raise over shorty's push because it wasn't a full raise, so don't tell me to push the flop, I wish I could have, it would have made my life way easier and I wouldn't be posting this hand

I couldn't shove the flop because shorty didn't make a full raise, thus the action wasn't reopened when it came back to me. That was what my question was about in my description.

i agree. your hand looks more like a draw with the second diamond hitting and then this. this isn't a traditional "bluff" of a dry sidepot and i would like it on the flop.

Hey mason, I think you should consider going all-in on the flop here

yeah the logistics of this "all in on the flop" demand that you bet $20 so his push will let you reopen the betting. it'll also look kind of crafty and cleverly planned to a 20/12 nitty tag type so he'll probably fall for it.
