Default Supernova Rush

Ok, I feel this is a good time to start another supernova rush post, for the new year (perhaps a new year vow!)

So...what is the best way to earn FPP's the fastest, cheapest, & easiest games? The goal is 150 fpp/hr.

I am considering $1/$2 NL, 4 tabling. I think the rake would get to $3 often enough (2fpp) to average 38 points per table per hour and the tables are fairly easy.

So at that rate, you would be Platinuim in about 2 weeks (at 40/hr/wk). And then (based on the 1.5 increase (and they are all rounded I believe so a 1 fpp times 1.5 = a total of 3 fpp), 18,000 fpp / wk, so you would obtain supernova in about 2 months (and pay about $7,000 in rake, I think), but have access to all VIP freeroll valued around $600/month or about $6k). Plus tons of FPP to spend. Added that you can purchase a bonus of $1,500 that clears in another week (paying $800 in rake)...some that comes out to about $7,500 gained for $7,800 in rake, plus 30k fpp left).

So this is a pretty good rake back, no? What are your thoughts.

180k hands to get 100k vpp at stars 1/2 nl.

also, nova is based on vpp, not fpp. so no, it doesnt start getting faster when you move up levels.

if you 4 table, assume 550ish hours.

so like 3 months

I dont know how it works, but Ive made 33,000 points this weekend playing 2/4 NL. I didnt think I had a shot at supernova for 2006 but now it looks like Ill make it easily. I only have like 28,000 points to go.

I'm pretty sure he is talking full ring. 38 fpp /hr was a low estimate on my part. $0.40 = 1 fpp or vpp. I completely was not aware of the difference on vpp vs fpp Thank You! $5 rake should occur I think on some all ins (unless the rake is capped at $3)

Also, he is probably assuming (as I was) regular speed tables (about 65 hands per hour). I'd bet with the speed tables (which I would play), it would happen much quicker (let's say 90 hands per hour) or 400ish hours or 10 weeks.

That adds about $3k in rake I think for 60k in fpp...not as good on the rakeback as I thought, maybe a loss of about $2.5k in rake I think. But at the softest site on the net for tons of hands, that's not too bad really.

The site is misleading IMO when it says 'vpp are earned in the same way as fpp' but in the faq it says:
"Bonus FPPs that you accrued through the VIP FPP program. For instance, suppose you are a SilverStar VIP. SilverStar members receive a weekly 50% FPP bonus. So if you earn 400 FPPs in a week, we give you 200 bonus FPPs. Each of the 400 FPPs that you earn gets you a VPP; the 200 bonus FPPs we give you do not. "

Hours? 6 or 10 max? Speed? # of tables at a time? for 33,000 vpp right (not fpp as I had thought)?

I might come to $2/$4 if I feel it is worth it, but minimum rake for 1 vpp is $0.40 at $1/$2, but $1 at $2/$4...I'm sure rake gets to $5 much more often though.

No, rake is capped at $3 on all PL/NL games up to 25/50 blinds. It's only at the fixed-limit games, 200/400 and higher, that the rake can reach $5.

It's not misleading at all. You earn a vpp whenever you're dealt a hand and the rake reaches $x. Every time you earn a vpp, you are credited with an fpp. If your vip status is silver, gold, plat, or nova, you are given a certain bonus on each fpp. vpps are only used to track play for vip status; fpps are accumulated and can be spent.
