Bellagio 1/2 - AQs vs Tanya

I'm not sure if this is worthy of a High Stakes post, but I've been told it's semi-interesting.


Tanya is a very good, thinking LAG regular is the 100/200 game.

So some guy opens UTG, she 3-bets from MP, and I call 2 cold in the BB with AdQd. Other guy calls and we're off to a flop.

Flop: 5d 4d 5c

Checked to Tanya, she bets, I raise, guy folds, Tanya calls.

Turn: 6s

I bet, she calls.

River: 9h

What's my plan? Does it really make a difference? Can I ever make AK fold or AJ call here? If I check and she bets, what factors is she considering when making her bet?

I'd bet. I think checking induces too much correct play from her. I think she could make either mistake (AK AJ) if you bet.

Your hand looks like a pocket pair or a missed flush so I think AK and AJ will look the same to her. So I think you should bet. If you check and she bets she is trying to bluff you off AK (maybe for a chop) or a desperate bluff with worse diamonds or to get you to fold a pair. I'd be surprised if she has a pair here.

She's definitely at least closer to LAG than TAG from what I saw (granted, I don't have a ton of hours with her). She opened UTG with Q9s and 3bet 44 from MP today.

I guess her post-flop game isn't super-aggro though. Still pretty good.

AK will never fold if it's the lady im thinking of (big white girl, huge chest). you should check and call maybe she'll do something silly and bluff. although a value bet is appealing as well. i guess what im saying is it doesnt matter what you do as long as you get to showdown.
