Berkeley/East Bay California Room Rental? - 3 Months

I am moving to Berkeley/East Bay in January and am looking for a room to rent for three-four months.

I am 27 year old "professional" male, relocating to Berkeley, CA for a new job. I just need temporary housing, while I am trying to sell my Condo. No pets, just me by myself with a occasional visit from my girlfriend until she relocates to the Bay area.

I would love it if another 2+2er has a extra room for rent. If you do have one, let me know... we can discuss costs/etc. I will be in the Bay area next week, so if you want to meet up for coffee/etc let me know.

Wish I could give you a direct referral but I don't know of any short-term rooms available. I assume you're trying Craigslist and can only tell you that I know several people who got hooked up there.

There are also some decent areas in Oakland around Grand Lake/Lakeshore and in Albany around Solano Ave.

whats your time period? right now or in a couple months?

and your best off trying craigslist, if you really want to go cheap and fast and dont care where you live, drive around frat row, look for the signs that say room for rent.

gotta live in a frat but at least its simple

I have been looking up craigslist, but I was hoping to rent from a more poker-minded roommate. As for living with college students, I think it would be best to stay with another professional.
