First hand I like if you know he'll bet.
Second hand is a nice mix-up play if his wtsd isn't silly.

In hand 1 I thought it would be silly for BB to be raising the flop with a Q. I figured him for some kind of 8, which he would bet on the turn an awful lot to protect his hand. It's not like he was raising the flop for a free card.

I don't think raising w/ a Q is silly because nobody does it ever. I'd never raise this board for a freebie but some people do - not likely though.

True true. I think he raised pretty quickly though, which I took to mean an 8. That's kind of a no-brainer raise of a c-bet. If he had a Q, he would have thought for a second about it. But I think in general, a Q just calls flop and raises turn.

Can we do anything but fold?

I generally call in hand 1. If you're behind and you fold to the 3-bet, you lose the same as you would with that checkraise. If he's doing some randomshit bluff, A high or an 8, you might make another bet that you'd lose by c/ring.

I made that play intending to fold to a 3bet.
