didn't we call the turn because we didn't think the ace helped him? call a river bet.

Definitely not c/f. You are probably ahead here, it's either bet/fold or c/c.
Basically what it comes down to is whether you think villain has a busted draw or a marginal made hand, and the probability of betting with the former and calling with the latter. He is definitely not value betting a worse hand. I think it's pretty close actually. I probably bet like $99, from his point of view you could have hearts yourself. But c/c is probably very close to this in EV. |

whoa when I started writing my response there were no other responses.
are you guys really c/f? that is really bad IMO. He can so easily have a busted draw or some kind of mid pair. He only rarely has the A. The key is the flop flat call and weak turn bet. This makes A8 and a set pretty unlikely. Only A hand that makes sense is AhXh, and he is usually raising the flop with that. I think he has 9T or JJ or 89 or something like that. Or possibly a non-nut heart draw. |

yad,
I don't think it's very close in terms of EV. If he has >Ax, he's always calling. Not calling with worse. He may bluff worse. I still check/fold |
