Default Preflop Survey Question, nice and simple: AQ or 77?

okay i was having an argument with a friend, at 200nl to 1000nl... which hand would you prefer to raise with in the small blind after 2+ limpers.

77 or AQ?

77 is easier to play OOP and multiway, so I'd rather raise AQ.

77. I think I can profitably bluff Axx , Kxx or even Qxx flops and sometimes I hit a set.
AQ and they float me all the time on xxx boards (which is good if I have 77).

I think AQ is easier to play after the flop assuming loose/floaty villains. 77 can be a bitch because by the time the turn hits there will usually be 2-3 overcards out which makes it difficult to know where you stand, but at the same time you'll often have the best hand so you can't neccesarily just check/fold. AQ is way more clear cut in that you either have a strong hand or you have nothing.

I know this is pretty lame reasoning because in poker we should be looking for the most +EV decisions, not the easiest decisions, but it's still how I think.

AQ.

The guy with 46% VPIP who open limped from MP will call your raise with KQ and you'll be heads up (occasionally the mediocre TAG from the button will call, but he'll fold when he doesn't hit a set or whiffs with his small sc). When he misses the flop, he'll fold to your cbet. When a Q flops you'll stack him. Just don't cbet a K high flop and you'll be fine.
