Default Big bluff from stars 300

opponent is basically unknown but seemed like a tight fish

100/200 with ante folded to SB(9500) makes it 600 i call in BB(9000)

flop: J 10 6 two diamonds he bets 900 i call
turn: A offsuit he bets 1200 i call
river: 9 of diamonds he bets 1200 i shove for 4300 more. if he calls he only has 500 left

I figured his hand is either AQ/AK or two pair with an ace 100% of the time.

anyone like this?

You must not play $300 tourneyments. They are filled with tight fishes.

I think AK/AQ checks the turn too often for this play to be good.

"not crazy, not all that aggressive and not creative"

this type of player is betting the flop and turn and you are gonna try and bluff him on the river? like was already mentioned, this type of player checks the turn usually with the kinds of hands you are looking to move on here.

i dont like.

i think generally speaking players who have those hands and will fold the river dont bet it. i think you get looked up because bad players talk themselves into a call after making that small bet all the time.

I disagree i think AQ or AK small bets the turn. it just comes down to will he fold two pair. if the answer is no i guess its bad.

mike is right the kind of player who makes this bet will talk himself into a call

anyway guy used most of his timebank and called with A9. i had kj btw

I like this.

But then again I make way too many suicide bluffs and I think that a lot of very good players will say that this is a bad play (so what does this say about us?)

that's nice. but you're wrong.

and you provide no reasons or thinking for why you think he'd do something precisely unusual like "small bet" in a spot where a player you described (or any reasonable player) will more often than not do something different from what you "think". just like he talked himself into a call, you talked yourself into a horrible spot to bluff.

no. not on this board. there's a pretty huge difference between having JT and A9 here.
