Greatest Sci-Fi Movie of All Times - Wild-Card Selction

The initial nominations thread contained about 140 movies. I've gone through and picked the ones that should be in automatically (a total of 48), leaving 16 at-large bids. This is where I need you guys. There are 85 movies here, and only 16 get to play, so think carefully when you make your picks.

Let me reiterate one thing: I have already picked 48 movies that will be included in the poll. I'm sure some numbnuts will still respond with a "WTF dude, where is Aliens???!!!111" but that's how it is I guess.

I swear to God, that was not me that voted for Freejack. I love that movie, but almost precisely because it is so bad.

I hope I'm not the only person that liked Buckaroo Banzai and The Last Starfighter.

I voted for Contact, Hitchhiker's Guide, Space Balls, and Star Treck First Contact. Those are the only ones that I could see voting for over just about anything else, although I admit I should see Total Recall.

I voted for The Last Starfighter (never seen Buckaroo Banzai though). The Last Starfighter should definatly make the poll... classic science fiction.

I could definately see myself voting for Independence Day, Contact and Fifth Element over other movies. Maybe The Last Starfighter too...
