Default Buying some bourbon today

Fifth race. I'm going to get a fifth of evan williams, a fifth of beam black or a fifth of knob creek. I'll also entertain arguments for makers mark. Which and why?

Evan Williams is crap, as is Beam really, except for some of their small batch stuff. Why did you choose those two? What are you going to be doing with this? Sipping it neat? Stick with small batch bourbons, but if you're just cheap then makers is ok.

Why on earth wouldn't you go with the George Dickel #12 and get comparable quality of Knob Creek at a price point not much higher than Jim Beam?

EDIT: if you're just throwing a bunch of coke into it and guzzling it down, then go with Beam. But then I'm not sure why you'd include Knob Creek in the first place.

Knob Creek is some good stuff. Would recommend that or Maker's. My friend got me some Knob Creek small batch, and it's oh so good. Hmmmmmmmmmmm....maybe I should get a few cigars and kick it with some small batch this weekend.

What bourbons have you already tried? Which are your favorites?

Whats a fifth race? Can you wait for shipping?

Edit: this is hands down the best bourbon in the world. This isnt a taste discretion thing, it just is the best.

Knob Creek is some good stuff.

It amazes me how Beam can turn out such a good product in Knob Creek, yet the regular Jim Beam is so bad.

Im consuming a fifth today with no mixer so I need something smooth.

I've tried all the pretty well known bourbons; makers, beam, turkey, williams, early times but havent hit up knob creek yet.

I'll spend up to 23 bucks on a fifth

Oh, and also. I have to be able to find it at a North carolina hooch store.

Buffalo Trace is really good. But go with the Dickel #12, it seems like no one has ever heard of this whiskey and its very good.
