Default Prove that the \"Cashout Curse\" Doesn\'t Exist.

The number of complaints in this forum about poker sites being rigged, poker sites stealing money, poker sites permitting bots, poker sites permitting collusion, poker sites permitting other players to see your hand, poker sites having "doom switches," etc., and just general conspiracy and curse theories are truly mind-boggling.

It seems to me, that this community of posters cannot prove or disprove the vast majority of them. However, in the interest "truth, justice and the American way," I think we can make a concerted effort to disprove the "Cashout Curse" by posting descriptions of experiences we have in beating this curse.

So as a public service, I encourage you to post examples of your immunity to said curse.

Here's mine: I startred playing at FTP on October 7. I deposited $500. Playing mostly 1/2 and 3/6 Seven Card Stud, and 1/2 and 2/4 LHE, I increased my stake to $1143 by October 31 and then cashed-out my original $500, leaving me with $643. During November I continued to play mostly the same games I played in October, but also added 5/10 Stud, 3/6 LHE and some 1/2 and 2/4 Razz. By November 30 I had $1632 in my account and cashed-out $1000. Starting this month with $632 and playing four days so far, I have increased my account to $877.

Generally people cash out after running well, or winning, as we like to refer to it. Generally after running well, a downswing will occur. Blah blah blah. You'll hit a downswing eventually...lol...then online poker will be "rigged".

I cashed out about $2.5k (of my $6k roll) from my Stars account around the time that the poker ban passed. I still consider that poker money, I just wanted to get it in my bank before Frist tried anything else.

I'm up about $2k on Stars since then.

I don't know if that technically counts since I didn't cash the money out for any purpose other than to have it in my possession instead of PokerStars/Neteller's possession, and I'm pretty sure the Boomswitch/Doomswitch can read my mind.

Also, wait a second, OP was playing 5/10 7-stud on a 500 roll?

OP,

You can't. I'm still waiting for permission to publicly distribute the information I have but no significant sample would prove there is no cashout curse, only the opposite.

The thing people fail to comprehend is the value of a success story. "He did it, why can't I?" is an american outcry only associated with luck unearned accomplishments, when its true value is in tale of hard earned glory and well deserved praise. So all of us have seen these "donkeys" walk away with big stacks off cash. But for every Schneids or CTS there's a Wahoo73, doomed to mediocrity.

But WHY? He did it, why can't I.

Truth,

Danza

I thought that the cash out curse existed when I started playing. I turned $50 into $1k on Paradise back in 2001 or so. I cashed out, lost $200, and decided it was rigged. The reason I lost $200 was because now I "knew" I could beat the game, so if I just raised enough, it'd make everyone fold. I got too over confident.

Here's another good reason:

LOL...but that's not what I said. I started the month of Novemeber with about $643 in my FTP account. At some point during the month, I played some 5/10 stud games, at which time I had more than $643 in my account. Regardless, my poker "bankroll" is far greater than the amounts I quoted that are in my FTP account.

Excellent reply...your TIC detection meter is working optimally and needs no re-calibration.
