Default Why Duritos Hurt to Chew?

A little bit of BG,

I am not sure if I notice this each sitting, but lately I've realized eating Duritos hurts the roof of my mouth. I notice this particularly more when I have had hotter foods a few hours prior, but today for instance I had pizza that I didn't even need to wait to cool. I am starting to lean toward this being an issue with Doritos itself, why are they made to hurt the roof of ones mouth? Especially the spicy ones which are a bit bigger and you need to wrap your mouth around them to even get a decent sized portion of the chip, the pain itself is subdued with a cold refreshment but this still is bothering me and I'd like to read some similiar experiences to mine.

Thanks.

Are you trying to chew with a pointy side up?

Troll? If it's that much of an issue why don't you just crush the chips up into smaller pieces and then eat them?

No, but I tend to place the whole chip into my mouth before chewing, so I suppose when chewing it I could be irritating the roof of my mouth with the harder edges of it.

I do obviously, but they are starting to make the spicy chips wider so it's not like they won't slam against the roof of my mouth when chewing them. And I tend to just put the whole chip into my mouth before chewing it, as opposed to the ways I've seen girls take miniature sized bites.

How do you propose to eat a fairly big chip without it touching the roof of your mouth? Can you place the entire chip along the front row of your teeth to avoid the jagged edges of the Dorito?

No sorry about that, I actually have the bag in front of me but when I type names really fast sometimes I type them how they sound. Doritos, spicy nacho. I actually pronounce them Dur-ito as opposed to Dor-ito so it's a lil subconcious.
