City to visit in Europe for a weekend?

So Im visiting a friend in London in February for a week. Aside from spending time in London seeing the sights, I wanted to spend the weekend in another city within a short flight/trip away(>2 hours).

Any suggestions and why? Amsterdam and Paris are my current frontrunners.

Amsterdam and Paris are both great. Amsterdam is more than weed and hookers. Many other cities that would be good for a weekend. Cant really answer this until you tell us what you are looking for.

Well im just looking to have fun and see some cool sights. Kinda wide open to ideas. Good food would be a plus.

I like both Paris and Amsterdam. Paris is far nicer and you don't have to fly (very easy trip), but it depends what you want to do.
